Real-Life Luke Popped Up at Luke's Diner, Served Up More Emotions Than Coffee

Gilmore Girls turned 16 years old on Wednesday, and the show commemorated the special occasion the best way possible — with a lot of coffee. In lieu of the upcoming Gilmore Girls reboot, Netflix turned numerous shops across the country into Luke's Diner, but only one store got the real-life Luke Danes. That's right, Scott Patterson dusted off his flannel shirt and baseball cap to serve a few lucky customers in Beverly Hills, CA, a cup of his character's famous brew. Naturally, fans freaked out, sharing photos and videos of his surprise appearance all over social media. Of course, the best part of the whole ordeal is when fans serenaded Patterson with the show's theme song, "Where You Lead," outside. If you need us, we'll just be crying into our coffee mugs.
