The Chicks Performed the National Anthem to Kick Off the Last Night of the DNC

On the last night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, The Chicks took the virtual stage with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. Formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, the trio, which includes Natalie Maines, Martie Erwin Maguire, and Emily Strayer, sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" in harmony during the virtual event. Many viewed The Chicks's performance on Thursday night as a full-circle moment, as back in 2003 the group received severe backlash from conservative country fans for criticizing then-president George W.
