Guess How Long It Took For a Child to Completely Destroy This $15,000 Lego Statue?

It doesn't take being a parent to know that kids are not only clumsy, but they also have poor impulse control. So bringing a child to a Lego exposition could be a tad bit tricky — especially since children are taught to actually play with the plastic building bricks. Unfortunately for one artist in China, a child's curiosity got the best of him and the artist's $15,000 Lego masterpiece paid the price.

After spending three days constructing a massive character from Zootopia out of thousands of pieces, the artist, named Zhao, was eager to show off his creation. Despite security ropes surrounding the statue, it only took one small child (within the expo's first hour!) to walk by and knock it over. The little boy climbed under the ropes to get a better look (sound familiar?) and accidentally pushed it. In a matter of seconds, all that was left of the impressive display was a heartbreaking pile of bricks. The child's parents offered to pay the artist for the damage, but Zhao declined any compensation.
