“Everything Is Awesome” in This Holiday Lego Movie Short in Which Emmett Reminds Us of Buddy the Elf

"Everything is awesome" in Bricksburg, except, well, it isn't. In the couple of trailers we've seen for the new Lego movie, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, we've learned that Bricksburg is now Apocalypseburg, and everything is not going awesome for the townspeople following an evil Lego Duplo invasion. However, Emmet (Chris Pratt) seems to be taking the apocalypse well and is as cheery as ever, which is why we're not shocked that in this hilarious holiday short film, Emmet is channeling Buddy from Elf.

In the short, Emmet looks to spread a bit of holiday cheer to Apocalypseburg, and while Lego Batman is ice skating and indulging in some eggnog, Emmet sets up a huge Christmas tree (which a Lego unicorn pukes glitter onto, naturally) to wow the town with.
