Le Creuset's Lavender Field-Inspired Collection Will Make You Want to Trade in All Your Cookware

One month into the new year and Pantone's prediction that Ultra Violet would be the color of 2018 is already coming true. The evidence? Premium French brand Le Creuset has just released a collection of elegant cookware in a strikingly similar purple hue. Le Creuset says the color palette, which gradates across the enamel cast iron cookware from light to dark in the most stunning way, was inspired by blooming lavender fields in the South of France. But whatever the origin, we suspect that this is just the first in a plethora of violet-tinted items we'll see popping up in 2018.

While we were smitten with Le Creuset's trendy millennial pink collection last year, this collection actually transports us to sunny Provence. In fact, it's just too pretty to hide away in a cabinet, so you'll want to clear a spot on the counter to display it or serve your food directly in the cookware. The collection, which starts at $20 and goes up to around $370, includes signature Le Creuset pieces like dutch ovens, cocottes, and bakers, and is available at Sur La Table. While every piece is truly eye catching, our hands-down favorite is the flower cocotte ($200, originally $225) with its softly undulating edges that recall petals.
