The first thing we noticed about Wonder Woman's new uniform, adapted for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opens May 6, 2016, was the over-the-knee wedge boots. Next, we admired those major arm cuffs and then just the general bronzed-armor appeal of the entire look. We're fashion girls, after all.
But when the updated wardrobe was unveiled on Saturday at Comic-Con, it fostered mixed reviews from a few very passionate fans. Some people felt that while the new Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, certainly fills out the suit, she doesn't make for the best possible Amazon princess. And, as to be expected, Gadot is being compared to Lynda Carter, who filled the role on TV in the '70s — in the classic red, blue, and gold ensemble.
So we couldn't help but compare the two outfits. We have to admit, while we appreciate the bright color scheme of the original design, Gadot's costume is bold in a different way. It's fierce, sleek, and fit for a true warrior. Scroll down to see Gal Gadot with her castmates Henry Cavill, who will play Superman, and Ben Affleck, who will play Batman, and cast your vote.
