We are loving the music choices in figure skating and ice dancing this year, from "Rapper's Delight" to Disturbed's cover of "The Sound of Silence." But 19-year-old Ivett Tóth, representing Hungary, brought the rock — the hard rock! She skated to AC/DC, and metalheads around the world are nodding their heads so hard that they are, in fact, banging their heads to her routine. Here she is skating her routine in European Championships earlier this year.
Of course, rockers took to Twitter to share their feelings.
In praise of hard rock on ice
Right on to Hungarian skater Ivett Tóth! Skills, jumps, ACDC, and pants #TeamHungary— Norah L. A. Gharala (@NorahLAGharala) February 21, 2018
This Hungarian young lady is skating to ACDC. Just give her the gold medal already.— Pullthepocket (@Pullthepocket) February 21, 2018
A bit of heavy-metal snark
Some fighting words
When you catch the NBC commentators diss ACDC and a whole routine because they cant stand the music... for shame #WinterOlympics2018— Subaru's 🚑 KFP Fried Cardinal 🏈 (@JeredRossow) February 21, 2018
AC/DC for #figureskating is bomb. Screw you commentators for knocking it. Just because you don’t like some good ol’ rock, doesn’t mean it was a bad performance. #acdc #awesomemusic #olmypics #olympics2018 #womensshortprogram #rockitgirl #bedifferent— Shyanna 🏳️🌈 | Merrali (@merrali92) February 21, 2018
