Ashley Tosh, a fitness trainer and founder of the HIIT gym Midtown Athletics, posted this eye-opening "before-and-after" to her Instagram page with the caption, "My oh MY what a difference a pair of high waisted leggings make! 😱"

She went on to say, "This is me, guys. Raw, real, unedited and unfiltered. Please understand that the picture on the left is NOT NATURAL. At least, not for me. I'm holding my breath, flexing so hard I might 💩🙊, and taking full advantage of my high waisted compression leggings. So, there."

Ashley feels it's so "CRUCIAL that 'fitspo's' show both sides of their reality." She said that the picture on the left is real, but she definitely doesn't walk around looking that tight and toned all the time. And the photo on the right is also real; she added that it's probably what she looks like now, sitting in her chair, typing this caption.

They're likely unnaturally flexing, using flattering lighting and angles, or incorporating this little high-waisted leggings trick — and they don't look like that all the time. Focus on being healthy, both physically and mentally, and feeling happy, energized, and confident. That's what's most important, and it looks different on everyone!
