Forget Frappuccinos! We Want Starbucks's 2 Newest Nitro Coffee Drinks

Starbucks fans who are lucky enough to have a Reserve coffee bar nearby have two brand-new drinks to try: the Nitro Dirty Chai and the Nitro Cascara Cloud. The first upscale Starbucks Reserve roastery opened in 2014, and now there are more than 20 Starbucks stores with a Roastery bar, including stores in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Baltimore, Seattle, Washington DC, and Boston. Customers at select locations in the US and Canada can enjoy these two new beverages, which are both infused with nitrogen for an extracreamy and smooth sip, beginning on July 11.

The Starbucks Nitro Dirty Chai is made with the company's classic chai blended with cream, poured into the glass, and topped with Starbucks Reserve Nitro Cold Brew. According to Starbucks, "The result is a layered beverage with a creamy texture and a head of rich and airy chai foam." It sounds like the ultimate tea and coffee hybrid.

The Nitro Cascara Cloud, similar to the Starbucks Cascara Latte, starts with vanilla bean syrup and then a pour of the Nitro Cold Brew, which "has been slow-steeped to bring out its dark chocolate body, berry notes, and rich, port-like flavor," according to Starbucks. It's topped with a "velvety, meringue-like cold foam made with milk and cascara syrup" and finished with a sprinkle of cascara sugar.

Rest assured, more Starbucks stores with Reserve bars are on the way. In a statement, a Starbucks spokesperson said, "Starbucks stores with Reserve bars will make up 20 percent of Starbucks total portfolio by 2021."
