Does the Starbucks S'mores Frappuccino Live Up to Your Dreams? Find Out Now

Starbucks had all of America in a flurry when it announced it would come out with a S'mores Frappuccino. But here's the best part! The coffee chain also released a bottled version and a s'mores tart — giving us reason to believe that s'mores is the new birthday cake. We waited for weeks (but it felt like years) to finally taste the graham- and marshmallow-flavored coffee, layered with marshmallow-infused whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce, more marshmallow whipped cream, and crumbled graham crackers. Today, the slushy coffee is finally available, so of course we ran over to our nearest Starbucks to give it a try.

S'mores Frappuccino ($5 For a Grande)

This drink is heavy on the marshmallow flavor and extremely sweet. People who aren't crazy about coffee will be pleased that this drink tastes more like a milkshake and less like frozen coffee. Some tasters complained about the crunchy graham topping, and others couldn't detect the chocolaty flavor. All in all, this beverage is good, but not good enough to replace our standard Starbucks orders.

S'mores Tart ($3)

The s'mores tart comes piping hot out of the oven — it's like a personal pie with a graham cracker crust, chocolate custard filling, and fluffy marshmallow top. It's incredibly messy to eat (the marshmallow gets everywhere) and is on the rich side, but it would be fun to nibble on it with a friend over afternoon coffee.

Bottled S'mores Frappuccino ($3)

The bottled S'mores Frappuccino tastes like vanilla marshmallows — with just a hint of coffee and chocolate. Tasters struggled to make out the graham flavor and wished the beverage contained a little less sugar and a little more robust coffee flavor.
