In Other News, Fireball Whiskey Bagels Are a Thing, Because Why the F*ck Not?!

With the plethora of unexpected food hybrids out there, we thought we were pretty numb to even the strangest of mashups (we're looking at you, avocado lattes). But nothing could possibly prepare us for the most surprising one of them all: bagels made with freakin' Fireball whiskey. Yes, you read that correctly. They exist, y'all — but only at The Bagel Nook in Freehold, NJ.

The Bagel Nook is no stranger to pumping out an Instagram-worthy variety of circular breakfast goodies, as it's the source of those crave-worthy Flamin' Hot Cheetos and Doritos Bagels that had us drooling earlier this year. But its latest menu addition — the Fireball Bagel — is certainly straight out of left field. Have you ever seen a food and simultaneously felt the need to vomit but also secretly wanted to try it just for kicks? That pretty much sums up how we feel about these boozy bagels.

So how exactly are these babies made? Delish dished out the recipe details and explained that Fireball is incorporated not once but twice for an added kick. First, a bit of the spicy cinnamon whiskey is poured into the bagel dough, and once they're out of the oven, the bagels are then dunked in a sticky Fireball glaze (made from reducing the whiskey on the stove) and coated in powdered sugar. The finishing touch is a hearty smear of apple pie cream cheese. OK, we may or may not be taking back what we said before about vomiting.

Yes, this whiskey-soaked snack may be unconventional, but there's no denying that it'd make the perfect breakfast for those early morning football game tailgates (if you're 21 and older, that is)! Honestly, we might be taking a road trip to Jersey just to try them. Who's with us?!
