You'll Want to Go to Japan Just For Starbucks's Sakura Blossom Frappuccino

In news that further proves Starbucks Japan gets all the best menu items, we present you with the Sakura Blossom Frappuccino. Similar to the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino released in the US last year, it's a pastel pink beverage that screams Spring and is topped with festive pieces of shaved chocolate "petals." It's reportedly the first Starbucks drink that has ever had crunchy Japanese rice pieces on top, too (yum). The Sakura Blossom Frappuccino was released around the same time as the Starbucks Paul and Joe collection, a Japan-based lineup of whimsical coffee tumblers and accessories covered in similar floral patterns.

There's also the Sakura Latte for those who prefer a hot drink. It's topped with pink, cherry-blossom-flavored chocolate flakes that melt into the latte, and it has the same crunchy rice pieces on top. Following the release of these sakura drinks plus Japan's Cherry Pie Frappuccino, matcha pudding, and McDonald's Sakura McFloat in Japan, we're inspired to book a trip to Japan just to try all of the best international offerings. At least we have new Toasted Coconut Cold Brew to hold us over this Spring and Summer.
