4 Reasons Christina El Moussa Is Going to Be A-OK After Her Divorce

Nearly one year after Christina El Moussa secretly split from her husband, Tarek, the Flip or Flop star is finally sharing the details of her divorce with the public. The HGTV host recently appeared on Good Morning America, where she spoke of her children and the future of the home renovation show. And now, Christina is the cover star of People magazine, where she's opening up even more about her split and her journey to finding postdivorce happiness.

In the interview, Christina made four eye-opening revelations that prove she's going to be A-OK following her divorce, as she and Tarek continue coparenting their two children and filming the show.

She will never speak ill of Tarek.

The HGTV star told People how she never wishes to speak negatively of Tarek for the sake of her children. "No matter what, I never want to say something about Tarek that my kids would have to read about later," Christina said. "That's their dad, and it's not my focus to put him down."

She felt relieved when she officially ended things with Tarek.

After a tense few months and an under-the-radar separation, official news of the couple's split broke in December 2016. The first feeling Christina had? Relief. "I think the separation process begins long before people actually separate," she told People in the cover story interview. "So by the time we officially did, I felt like a weight was lifted off me."

She's excited about starting fresh.

It looks like Christina is optimistically looking forward to diving into the possibilities of her new life. "There are so many unknowns, [but] it's invigorating to know I am starting over," she told People. "It's fun to be able to create my own destiny right now." And it looks like this destiny has a bit of writing in it, as Christina has a book in the works!

She truly wants what's best for Tarek.

Despite their past, Christina hopes her former husband finds happiness in the future. "Tarek and I don't discuss each other's personal lives," she said. "It is what it is and we are going through a divorce and eventually we will be dating other people. I'm happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life and I just hope he's happy."
