Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander Go Through a Roller Coaster of Emotion at the Olympics

Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander attended the men's swimming 4x100m medley relay final in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 13, and even with the Netherlands out of the race, the royals could barely control their emotions during the event.

Well-known for their expressive faces — Queen Máxima can't help but smile big every time she sees her adoring fans — the Dutch royals didn't disappoint while watching Team USA take the gold medal at the Games. They were bored while waiting for the festivities to kick-start, nervous during the three minutes it took for the team to swim to a win, and then happy to have been there to witness their Olympic record.
