Salma Hayek Celebrates Mexico's Independence Day With Fans on the Red Carpet

Salma Hayek is far away from her hometown of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico, but that's not stopping her from honoring her country's independence day, celebrated on Sept. 16. The actress and producer, who was at the Toronto Film Festival to promote her new movie Septembers of Shiraz, saw a few Mexican fans holding up a flag on the sidelines of the red carpet and immediately headed their way to snap a few smiley photos. Recently, Salma revealed she loves to curse in Spanish, saying the language's longer curse phrases are "delicious" and "give you time to build anger," and talked about never minimizing her Latina roots.
