A List of the Official Disney Princesses — and 10 Who Aren't, but Should Be
They are some pretty juicy Disney princess secrets that we never knew growing up. Aurora only has 18 lines total in Sleeping Beauty, "Part of Your World" was almost cut from The Little Mermaid, and Belle's personality was inspired by a character from Little Women.
But what exactly makes a Disney princess official? Disney decides, of course! Surprisingly, Anna and Elsa from Frozen haven't even made the cut. Beloved characters like Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Tinkerbell from Peter Pan are also honorary members. As of 2020, there are 12 official Disney princesses — read on to see who is the real deal, plus ten other awesome ladies we think are worthy of the title as well.

Snow White is from the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Official Disney Princess: Cinderella
Cinderella is from the 1950 film Cinderella.
