Traveling With a Baby Was a Nightmare For This Mom Until 2 Strangers Stepped In

Traveling with a toddler isn't an easy task and Alyson Hershelman was pretty much living every parent's nightmare during a trip with her child.

After waking up at 3:30 a.m. to catch a 6 a.m. cross-country flight, she was held up in the security line for 45 minutes with her little one, only to find out after that she could have gone through TSA Precheck. Then when she made it onto the train to her concourse, she realized that she left one of her carry-on bags at security. With baby and bags in tow, she then raced to the gate right as they were shutting the doors. After everything it took to get there, she had to sit and watch as the plane took off in front of them.

This led to a "minor and embarrassing meltdown," and things only got worse. On the new flight, not only were she and her husband seated in different places on the plane, but they both had middle seats, which is basically worst-case scenario for any parent flying with an energetic toddler.

At this point, Alyson really needed something good to happen. For this exhausted mom, that came in the form of two strangers and their simple yet kind actions towards her and her family. "To the gentleman that switched seats with my husband without us even asking him to do so, you have no idea what such a small gesture meant to us," Alyson shared on Love What Matters Facebook page. "And to Shelly, the sweet woman that held our toddler daughter to let her look out the window (and even take a short snooze!), words can't express how truly grateful we are to have sat next to you."

Out of all of the people on that plane that this family could have been seated next to, Alyson isn't taking for granted that she ended up exactly where she did after such a rough day.
