Hillary Clinton Had the Perfect Response to a Teen Girl Who Asked Her About Trump's Sexism

During a town hall forum in rural Pennsylvania, Hillary Clinton got real about Donald Trump's extensive history of misogynist comments. It happened when Brennan Leach, a local 15-year-old girl, asked Clinton about her reaction to what Trump has said about women, according to CNN.

Leach, who is the daughter of Pennsylvania Senator Daylin Leach, asked Clinton, "I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look. As the first female president, how would you undo some of that damage and help girls understand that they are so much more than just what they look like?"

Clinton thanked Leach for her question while the audience erupted in applause. Referring to the recently renewed controversy over Trump's remarks about Alicia Machado, Clinton said, "My opponent insulted Miss Universe. I mean, how do you get more acclaimed than that?"

Clinton continued, "We can't take any of this seriously anymore. We need to laugh at it. We need to refute it. We need to ignore it."

While sitting on stage with actress Elizabeth Banks and her own daughter Chelsea Clinton, the Democratic nominee concluded her response by encouraging Leach to stand up against everyone, media included, who perpetuates the idea that women are only as valuable as they look.
