Sam Bee's Epic Takedown of Donald Trump's Rumored Cabinet Will Make You Feel Slightly Better

Samantha Bee, though upset and stunned by Donald Trump's election, isn't going to let her outrage consume her — it's just fuel for her future takedowns.

On Monday night, Bee's first order of business was calling out news networks for their coverage of Trump's pick for White House senior counselor, Steve Bannon. It's not shocking that Trump chose Bannon as an adviser since Bannon has been closely counseling his campaign for months, but Bee says it's concerning that news outlets are only now describing Bannon's opinions as dangerous.

Not only is Bannon the chairman of Breitbart News, but he is intimately connected to the hateful alt-right and white nationalists. As Bee gasps, "Bannon joined Trump's campaign last Summer. How is CNN just now discovering that he's the milkshake that brings all the deplorables to the yard?" After her CNN jab, Bee shows the kind of headlines Breitbart publishes, like "Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy."

In her second segment, Bee goes after Trump's rumored cabinet picks like Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, and Sarah Palin. Bee also dismisses the idea that "Trump is deliberately floating the most outrageous names so people will be relieved when his actual picks are slightly less awful." Because, as Bee explains, why would Trump pick a climate-change denier like Myron Ebell to oversee his EPA transition team if he wasn't actually planning on naming a climate-change denier to his cabinet? Simple answer, he wouldn't.
