Here's How to Watch President Obama's Farewell Speech Online

President Obama will deliver his farewell address in his home city of Chicago on Jan. 10, he announced in an email and on Instagram. "I'm thinking about [the remarks] as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here," he wrote. "I hope you'll join me one last time. Because for me, it's always been about you."

The speech will take place at 6 p.m. PST/ 9 p.m. EST at McCormick Place, where Obama celebrated his reelection in 2012 with a huge rally, and tickets will be given to the public. If you can't make it in person, you can watch the speech live online at WhiteHouse.gov/Farewell and Facebook.com/WhiteHouse.

This announcement comes a day after Obama defended his legacy on Twitter.
