4 New Full-Coverage, Waterproof Foundations You Need in Your Makeup Stash

Kat Von D might have sparked some controversy recently due to her breakup with Jeffree Star, but her new foundation is bound to overshadow the drama of her personal life. Lock-It Foundation ($35) isn't new, per say: it's been a staple in her line for a while. But with its revamped look and 13 additional shades, more people can enjoy the benefits. It leaves your skin looking velvety, smooth, and flawless. One of the most alluring characteristics of this foundation is the "chamber" that holds the foundation itself: the pump doesn't dish out too much product, and it also contains a cap for the dispenser to keep the product from oxidizing.

Many who dislike powder foundation will find BAREPRO is lightweight and doesn't feel as restricting on the skin. And, as always, this formula is hypoallergenic and noncomodogenic, which makes it great to wear for long periods of time. This new foundation from Hourglass Cosmetics looks more like a concealer, and candidly, feels like one, too. But that's the point. The Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick ($46) is said to rival the coverage of a liquid foundation but feel as light as a powder. It definitely packs a punch in the pigment department, and is a heavier foundation for sure. But it blends beautifully with your natural skin tone and doesn't feel like you're wearing anything, so their description is accurate. However, I find after wearing it for a few hours that it starts to sink into my pores, giving an uneven finish. I like to use it to hide dark circles under my eyes because it doesn't feel heavy but still has a ton of pigment. This one also comes in 26 shades.

Many people comment when I wear this foundation, because it makes your skin instantly even. A few application tips, though: it can be drying around the eyes, so use primer or a lighter hand in that area. And after my first few applications, I realized it left a mark on my face from oxidizing, but it's nothing a little buffing can't fix.
