Blackpink is arguably the biggest girl group on the planet today. Consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, the group is known for their hit songs "How You Like That," "Boombayah," and "As If It's Your Last." Despite being world-famous musicians, the members of Blackpink lead relatively private lives, especially when it comes to any potential romances.

However, it's hard to keep your love life completely private when you're as big a star as a member of Blackpink, especially when rumor has it you're dating a member of the biggest boy band on Earth — and that's exactly the situation Jennie finds herself in these days!

Photos seemingly of Jennie and V from BTS have been leaking consistently since May 2022, and a recent spotting of the pair in Paris in May 2023 has fans starting to believe there's truth behind the Taennie dating rumors.

As speculation surrounding two of K-pop's biggest stars continues, let's take a look back through Jennie's short relationship history and who she has allegedly dated in the past.

On May 24, 2022, Jennie and V of BTS (aka Kim Taehyung) were thrust into the spotlight when photos that appeared to show the pair driving together on Jeju Island were posted on a fan's Instagram Story and began circulating. It was unclear, however, if the photos were authentic or not. YG Entertainment kind of (but barely) addressed the rumors in a statement (via Soompi), saying, "We have nothing to say."

In late August 2022, more photos that appeared to show Jennie and V hanging out together leaked, including photos of Jennie hanging out as V gets his hair styled and the pair posing in front of a mirror looking cozy. Adding fuel to the fire, that October, YG released a statement that suggested they were starting an investigation into who was leaking her photos. "We have officially requested the police to investigate who first circulated Blackpink Jennie's personal photos," YG said in an October 2022 statement (via Rolling Stone). "We have refrained from mentioning the matter or making an official statement in order to minimize any further damage. However, there have been indiscriminate rumors, criticism, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and violations of personal life sparked by those private photographs. We are now announcing that we will take legal action and correct the situation."

While rumors about the pair died down over the next several months as photos stopped leaking, there was a new surge of speculation in May 2022 when Jennie and V were filmed walking hand-in-hand in Paris on what appeared to be a date. Neither YG nor V's label, HYBE, addressed the latest dating rumors directly, instead telling Sports Seoul, "We don't know because it is the private life of artists."

While Jennie and V's relationship is still not officially confirmed, the fact that neither of the idols' agencies have denied the dating rumors explicitly (as they have when dating rumors surrounding their artists were categorically false in the past), many fans are now convinced Jennie and V are, in fact, an item.

Jennie initially met G-Dragon of Bigbang back in 2012, long before her days in Blackpink. The label mates worked together on the music video "That XX," which was released in 2012. One year later, in 2013, Jennie collaborated with G-Dragon again on his song "Black." Nearly eight years after they met, Dispatch reported on Feb. 24, 2021, that the pair had been dating for a year, though the artist's label, YG Entertainment, said at the time (via AllKpop), "We can't confirm anything about our artists' private lives. We ask for your understanding."

The details of their relationship remained private after the Dispatch announcement in February, but by May 2022, it seemed the pair had split as Jennie was linked with BTS's V.

Rumors that Jennie was dating EXO's Kai cropped up in October 2018 when she shared pictures of herself on Instagram in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris with the caption, "Had the most romantic dinner admiring the eiffel tower." Though Kai is not in the picture, the K-pop singer did share several pictures of himself in front of the popular French landmark just one day after Jennie, which immediately led fans to speculate that the two were not only there together but that they were dating.

Following their matching Instagram posts, the two remained off the radar until the Korean news outlet Dispatch released pictures of the pair together and reported that they were dating in January 2019. EXO's agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed the rumors, saying in a statement (via Soompi), "Kai and Jennie have become fond of each other."

Not long after their relationship status was confirmed, Jennie and Kai split. SM Entertainment revealed the news in a statement on Jan. 25, 2019, saying, "It is true that Kai and Jennie have recently parted ways," per JustJared. The breakup was reportedly due to their conflicting schedules and their desire to focus on work.
