This Guy Started a Petition to Rename the Pittsburgh Airport After Mr. Rogers

Our childhoods wouldn't have been complete without the full-hearted Fred Rogers, host and creator of TV show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Pittsburgher Ian Miller clearly felt the same way as he started an online petition to rename the Pittsburgh International Airport to Fred Rogers International Airport. Mr. Rogers's PBS series aired on local Pittsburgh television, so it only makes sense to honor him at the city's gateway.

"Pittsburgh is still an active transit hub and, for many people, our airport will be their first experience in Pittsburgh," Ian wrote on his petition. "We wish to welcome everybody to our neighborhood."

Now, who can argue with that? Hopefully, Allegheny County Airport Authority and the City of Pittsburgh agree. The petition quickly took off on Reddit and already has over 3,000 signatures and counting. Check out Change.org to add your name to the list!
