Alaska's Glacier Caves Will Make You Forget All About Summer

The weather outside might be warm, but we've got our eyes on the cool ice in Alaska. The Mendenhall Ice Caves in Juneau will hopefully skyrocket to the top of your travel bucket list once you see the stunning photos of them. The caves, which are part of a 12-mile-long glacier, are only accessible by kayak and then a bit of a trek over the glacier to get inside, so this expedition is not for the faint of heart. If you dare seek out the caves, though, you'll be handsomely rewarded with a one-of-a-kind experience inside these blue walls where water is flowing all around you.

If the photos alone can't convince you to make the journey to the US's northernmost state, perhaps the threat of the glacier soon disappearing because of global warming will. Sadly, climate issues in the world are causing the glacier to melt and move at an unfortunate pace, so if you want to catch this natural phenomenon, it's better to go sooner rather than later.
