The Crazy Way Samsung Keeps Its Phones From Bending

Ten points for Samsung. In a blog post called "Galaxy Note 4 vs. The Human Gluteus Maximus," the company describes how it puts its devices — including the Galaxy Note 4 — through a couple of bend tests. (No doubt it's Samsung's way of poking fun at Apple's iPhone bendgate saga.)

First there's a three-point bend test using pressure from a machine, but that's not what we really care about. At minute 1:07 we get a peek at a human weight test where a butt robot — wearing mom jeans, mind you — simulates the device repeatedly being sat on. And we mean repeatedly, in fast motion, to the point where you think you're watching the Anaconda music video.

See all the awkwardness now.
