Pink setting powder for the undereyes was having a moment back in 2023, but I'd be lying if I said the trend was a good fit for me. As someone with a deep complexion, I've always gravitated toward yellow powders, like the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Translucent Honey, but I can't say that I haven't wanted to switch things up every once in a while.

Though the rosy undereye trend wasn't for me, my interest was immediately piqued when I heard that Huda Beauty was coming out with a peach powder. Aptly named Peach Pie, this version of the brand's Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder ($38) is said to work for people with medium to tan skin and who have warm undertones. To me, it looked like the perfect shade to provide me with that gorgeously bright and blurred undereye that I love. Since I'm already a big fan of the shade Banana Bread, I had a good feeling about this one as well. Read ahead to see my full review on the powder.

About the Huda Beauty Peach Pie Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder

  • The powder comes in 10 shades for light to deep-dark skin tones.
  • The packaging is composed of a square plastic container, with netting on the opening to prevent the spill of too much powder.
  • Standout ingredients include rice starch powder and vitamin E, which help to stop excess oil and strengthen the skin barrier.

What I Like About the Huda Beauty Peach Pie Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder

I don't think I've ever gotten the opportunity to try a peach powder but I am so wildly impressed with this one. It offers the brightness of a white powder sans the ashiness that tends to follow. The peach tint acts almost as a color corrector, so while I didn't do my usual correcting routine, I still felt like my eyes looked bright and awake.

Additionally, I typically don't like a net on my powders, but this one doesn't hinder the amount of product that is sifted through. Instead, I felt like I got just enough to saturate my puff with one dip and was able to go back for more if needed.

How to Use the Huda Beauty Peach Pie Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder

You can use this as an all-over face powder if you'd like, but I like to focus loose powders on my undereye area, as well as on the rest of my T-zone, where I tend to get oily. I typically will just dip a powder puff — this time, I used the beauty blender, Power-Pocket Puff ($18) — into the container and pat it over my concealer in spots that I want to brighten and set. By pressing it into the skin, there's typically nothing left to buff away afterward, but if I want the area to look extra flawless, I sometimes go over the areas lightly with a clean powder brush just to make sure I'm extra blended.

What to Consider Before Trying the Huda Beauty Peach Pie Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder

While I do love the formula overall, it's worth noting that this powder has a fairly strong fragrance that's most noticeable when you first open the container. I didn't smell it once the powder was on my face, but there was a pretty strong synthetic floral scent to the product as I was blending it in. If you're sensitive to fragrance, I would get a sample before fully committing to a full-size product.

This powder has amazing brightening and blurring abilities but I found that some of it clung to the dry patches around my mouth and nose, requiring a few extra swipes of my brush to blend those areas properly. For that reason, this may not be the best formula for anyone with extra dry skin.
