The White House Was Lit Like a Rainbow — and the Pictures Will Take Your Breath Away

You've never seen the White House quite like this. On Friday, the nation's most famous home was lit up like a rainbow to celebrate the Supreme Court's ruling to legalize gay marriage. As pictures taken from Pennsylvania Avenue show, the north side of the mansion was illuminated in a multitude of colors. Even more beautiful: the reactions of visitors outside the home, many of whom hugged and held up balloons that formed "Love Wins," paying homage to the hashtag President Barack Obama used in his tweet about the gay rights victory. After the lights debuted at sunset, the White House tweeted an image of the view with a short and sweet message: "America should be very proud. #LoveWins."
