Pippa Middleton's Newborn Daughter's Name Has a Sweet (and Floral!) Tie to Lilibet

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews's family just got a little bit bigger! According to People, Kate Middleton's younger sister welcomed her third child, a baby girl, earlier this summer, and now we know her name.

On July 26, the outlet reported that Middleton and Matthews decided to name their daughter Rose, which has a little connection to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter, Lilibet — Lili for short — as they both share flower-inspired monikers. The birth-month flower for June, when Rose arrived, is also the plant from which she draws her name.

News of Middleton's third pregnancy first broke in early June after she debuted her baby bump at the Party at the Palace concert outside Buckingham Palace. The baby joins the couple's two kids, 1-year-old Grace and 3-year-old Arthur.

Middleton and Matthews wed in a lavish ceremony in Berkshire, England, on May 20, 2017. After tying the knot, Middleton received the courtesy title of Mrs. Matthews of Glen Affric the younger. Matthews is heir to the Scottish title of Laird of Glen Affric (a position his father currently holds). In October 2018, the pair welcomed their son, Arthur, and three years later, their daughter Grace was born.
