The American Idol fiasco with Corey Clark is over. Great news for Paula. What a way to kick off the weekend.
E! Online reports, "Fox and producers of American Idol announced Friday that Abdul would remain as a judge on the hit singing competition after an independent investigation found there was "insufficient evidence" that the perpetually upbeat pop star lavished extra attention on Clark, as the second-season finalist has charged."
We always thought that Corey Clark was a punk. Hopefully this is the last time we will type his name on this blog.
E! Online reports that Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the 57th Annual Emmy Awards on CBS September 15th. Wow, almost a month away. No wonder Teri has gone all super skinny on us. At PopSugar we love Ellen so this is fabulous news and just another reason to tune in to CBS for the Emmy's this year.

Last night I had the pleasure of listening to VF contributing editor, Christopher Hitchens for the second time. I was at a Vanity Fair Salon at Tosca in SF. Even the Mayor and Sean Penn and his gorgeous wife, Robin Wright Penn came to listen to Hitchens discuss everything from Americanism, the War in Iraq, to the "you know you're from the red states if..." (which reminded me of Jeff Foxworthy's "you know you're a red neck when...."). Sean and Christopher went back and forth discussing the war and Hitchens asked us what we had done to help. Hitchens has traveled the world and has picked up a lot along the way. So Cool!

P Diddy has gotta cool down. Here's the latest VMA promos for the show next week. I love the ones running on the network where his entourage pulls up to some random family's house and pass out invites to the show. For more info on the VMAs, click here. I hope P Diddy unveils his new name at the event.
Perez Hilton reports that Paris is already in Miami getting ready for the show. She just can't get out of a bathing suit these days.
