Poor Mischa looks devastated. Could she be crying for her friend Nicole? Perhaps this was right after she cut her hair and ended up with those bangs. Whatever happened, we hope she's OK.
Hilary Swank is working in NYC with a cute new co-star pup. The Oscar winning actress is moving on from Chad Lowe with her agent. As for Chad, he is headed to 24 this season. Looks like Chad needed a split before his career could take off. We can't wait to check him out in 24.

Pete's Babyshambles bandmates evidently prefer Pete on "the drugs." Turns out, as expected, Pete is far from sober and these days he is drinking like crazy. As a result, the alcohol makes him really edgy. That might explain what was behind his bloody brawl with the paps this week. A close friend of the band says:
"[His bandmates] are terrified that Pete is drinking more than ever now he’s trying to kick the drugs."
"The booze is making him badtempered and he’s lashing out a lot."
"The drugs used to keep him calm and on an even keel. Now he’s less patient with people as he comes out of his hazy cloud of drugs."
"The band are concerned his bad behaviour will lead him to be banged up for GBH, which would be ironic considering everyone thought drugs would land him in jail."
Pete, don't you know what the meaning of sober is? It means no alcohol either. If this is true he's just trading one addiction for another. What are the chances he'll figure that one out before the wedding?
Jen, Ben and Violet were seen leaving a film studio in LA. Can you believe little Violet is almost a year old already? Jennifer showed us all that she is totally back into shape with her stunning look at the Hollywood Film Festival. As for Ben, besides being recognized at the event for his work in Hollywoodland, he clearly loves his two ladies. Look at how he holds his daughter and then kissing his wife so long - so cute. We love it!

Kate Hudson and Ryder have headed to Queensland, Australia, where Kate is working on her latest film. She will be reuniting with Matthew McConaughey for another romantic comedy called Fool's Gold. Ryder's hair must be longer than Mommy's now. I hope he doesn't get mad at her when he grows up and wonders why she never cut it.
Yesterday Lupus L.A. presented the 6th annual "Hollywood Bag Ladies" Lupus Luncheon. Nicky and Kathy Hilton, Sharon Stone, Vanna White, and Linda Cardellini from Brokeback Mountain were all at the event. The women were all treated to lunch and bid in a silent auction for gently used handbags donated by celebrities and designers. Last year the event raised over $200,000 for Lupus Research. If only all expensive handbags purchased were for such a good cause. We're also curious to what a conversation between Sharon Stone and Nicky Hilton would have sounded like.

By the looks of these super stylish pictures of Posh in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, you would think that she would spare no expense when it comes to fashion. But actually, she says she more than often holds herself back when it comes to shopping. In her new style bible, that extra half an inch, she says:
"Despite what people may think, I don't just walk into a shop and say: 'I want that one in every colour!...When I see something I like - especially if it is expensive - I ask the shop to put it on hold while I go away and think about it. You'd be surprised how often the desire fades when you leave the shop.

Check out Hilary Duff sporting a new look with John Cusack on the set of their new futuristic film, Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens (previously titled War, Inc.). In the film that was written and produced by him, Cusack plays a hit man who is hired to kill a Middle Eastern oil minister. His cover is acting as a wedding planner for a local pop star. We're guessing that Hil is that pop star. Guess this role isn't a huge stretch for her.
