The show's writers revealed that season six will not be split into two halves like previous seasons. "It’s not going to be Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale, he dies and we move on," Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly. "We are changing around what we’re doing this year and going back to that season one mentality of small town stories and smaller arcs."

That being said, there will be a few throwbacks to the show's main themes. Not only will the main focus be on the core group of characters, but Horowitz told The Hollywood Reporter that next season will feature "something old and something new."

These also told us during Comic-Con that Belle will come back fairly quickly, they're planning on "the year of Snowing," we shouldn't trust Hades, and we're about to revisit Cinderella's story.

Now that Regina has separated herself from the Evil Queen, there will be double the trouble in Storybrooke. "I think it's still being discovered by all of us," she explained to Entertainment Weekly. "Really, what it is, it's not split personality, but it's like two separate Reginas. The Evil Queen and the hero Regina. So it's gonna be really fun to play both sides in a different way than I have in the previous five seasons 'cause I've always played two sides. She's always been both, but she's never been split."

Not only do the citizens of Storybrooke have to worry about the ruthless queen, but they also need to watch their back with all the other villains lurking in the town. "In season six, I think we are going to see some new villains," she revealed to TVLine. "And some old villains are going to resurface and surprise us in ways that we weren’t expecting."

Emma Swan went to hell and back to fight for her true love, and now it seems like there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. Aside from shipping Captain Swan as endgame, Morrison let Hollywood Life in on what's to come for her character. "I think that ultimately as the story continues, it's going to be important to see Emma's happy ending. Emma is sort of, she is the new fairytale, she's Eddy and Adam's creation, so I think ultimately we're on a journey to figure out what her happy ending looks like."

"There's a lot coming up that you're going to see," Mader told us at Comic-Con. "I love how they're exploring that sister relationship between the two of us and now it's like, three's a crowd."

O'Donoghue confirmed during Comic-Con interviews that we'll definitely delve into Hook's past more. "The good thing about Hook is that he's a 300-year-old pirate, he's done a lot of things. What we see is gonna test his relationships with some people in Storybrooke because he's done so much that he's not proud of."

Emilie De Ravin

De Ravin spoke about Belle's draw to Rumple during the Comic-Con panel, and elaborated on it in later interviews: "I don't think it's so much that she likes or respects his evil ways . . . it's more about liking the challenge."

Josh Dallas

When we sat down with Dallas during Comic-Con, he expressed his excitement over getting to explore his character's background: "With Charming, there's a story that happened in the mythology of his life that he's always believed and he might just find out that that wasn't the truth, so that's going to open up a whole mess of stuff that's going to affect his relationships with a lot of people that he's very close to." He also teased that this secret is "pretty twisted."
