Torture Yourself With Close-Ups of Dominique Ansel's Sundae in a Can
Are you hungry? Do you like to torture yourself with food porn on Instagram that you can't have? Do you like, nay, love ice cream? If you said yes to all of these questions, then great, this story is for you. Cronut maker Dominique Ansel's latest creation, ice cream sundae in a can, made its debut this weekend at a one-day Pop It! ice cream truck in East Hampton, NY. Chef Ansel served up $15 cans, lined with chocolate and filled with root beer and stracciatella (vanilla and chocolate chip) ice creams, mascarpone semifreddo, toasted honey marshmallows, mini cherry meringue stars, and macerated cherries. Get a box of tissues, because these photos will make you weep with longing. Source: Instagram user noleftovers_
Pop It! Truck Arrives
Dominique greeted fans outside of the truck, matching umbrella in hand.
Truck Design
The side of the truck showed off the adorable sundaes in a can.
Summer Showers
Since we couldn't be there to enjoy Dominique's creation, we feel a little better knowing everyone had to wait in the rain for their sundaes.
How It's Done
Yes, sundae in a can contains a pull top, which opens up to reveal the yummy contents. Twin Peaks actor Kyle MacLachlan showed us how it's done.
Toasted Mallow Heaven
That overhead view is just evil.
Bite of Heaven
OK, this photo makes us want to cry tears as fat as those drops of melting ice cream.
True Amount
While it's not exactly as billowing as Dominique's Instagram of the sundae, we still want to demolish the contents of the can, spoonful by spoonful.
The Trifecta
This woman managed to eat the new sundae in a can along with the Cronut and Cookie Shot. Hashtag jealous.
