How to Make Disney World's Delicious Loaded Totchos at Home

The Most Magical Place on Earth should also be dubbed "The Tastiest," as each individual Walt Disney World park hosts many unique and mouth-watering treats. While many Disney foodies plan their itineraries around cups of thirst-quenching Pineapple Dole Whip or fluffy Vanilla Blueberry Cronuts at Epcot, I personally cannot start a Disney trip without heading immediately to Hollywood Studios' Toy Story Land for lunch at Woody's Lunch Box.

My go-to dish at Woody's Lunch Box is the Totchos — a heaping pile of crispy tater tots, loaded with warm chili con carne, crunchy corn chips, nacho cheese sauce, shredded cheddar, sour cream, and green onions. While it's been a significant (and unfortunate) amount of time since I've last devoured these better-than-nachos at the park, this Totchos recipe provided by The Disney Food Blog for how to make them at home has satisfied my cravings tenfold. The recipe is easy to assemble and will transport you straight to the House of Mouse, all from the comfort of your own kitchen.

First, start your chili con carne by browning the ground beef in a deep pot. Drain off the excess oil, then add diced onions and garlic, and cook until they are transparent.

Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, and rinsed kidney beans to your ground-beef mixture. Simmer for 20 minutes, then keep warm until it's time to serve.

While the chili is simmering, bake your tater tots. To make Mickey-shaped tater tots, defrost tater tots and crumble. Drain your deconstructed tots of any excess liquid before combining with egg and flour to create a malleable potato mixture. Form into your desired shapes, and bake according to the directions on the package.

While the chili is simmering and the tater tots are baking, prep your cheese sauce. I chose to make my own using butter, flour, milk, shredded cheddar, and a pinch of salt, but you can also use jarred nacho cheese.

Once all of the components are fully cooked, assemble the Totchos to your liking, and enjoy!
