This Encounter Between Santa and a Little Girl Will Bring You to Tears

For parents, mall Santa Clauses are a mixed bag depending on how their child reacts to them — some kids break down into tears because they're terrified of the bearded stranger, while others try to stay on Santa's lap all day to talk (read: dream) about Legos, Barbies, and more. This mall Santa likely seemed pretty typical — that is, until a little girl who is hard of hearing and doesn't speak much got plopped onto his lap.

In the beginning of the video, the little one seems a bit unsure — she waves to her mom and dad off-camera and looks ready to hop off Santa's lap — but then her mom lets Saint Nick know that she doesn't speak very well, and he asks if she can sign. Once she tells him that her daughter understands a bit, he immediately starts using sign language to speak to the girl, and her whole demeanor changes — she starts chatting back and looks totally overjoyed.

We think it's safe to say that this is the sweetest mall Santa ever. Either that, or perhaps he's the real deal?
