From these 7 "jobs", 4.5 are badly paid, usually either freelance or self-employed with very little prospects of success. While it sounds very romantic to manage a small bookstore, for example, it is one of the businesses easily eaten not only by main street sharks but also by online services like Amazon. And the number of bloggers and novelists who make a nice profit out of their writing is a fraction of the number of talented people writing a book or a blog, and even a smaller percentage of the number of talented people who *would have* done it, if they hadn't needed a day job to support themselves.    The other 2.5 (librarian, editor, employed agent) might have better prospects of actually gainful living, but not by much. E.g. librarian, a job I really wanted to do, has almost no openings. Public libraries are being closed, etc.

Literary Agent = poor pay and bad treatment until you're allowed to represent an author who can bring you a good commission.
