File this under things you never knew you needed (and maybe don't). Oral-B recently announced a product that it's touting as the world's first interactive electric toothbrush. Say what?

The toothbrush comes with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, which syncs up with an app that records data (Did I floss last night? Did I clean my tongue too?). Plus, you can also program the app so that it tells the brush what you need — how long to brush, how much pressure to use, etc. Even creepier better is the fact that your dentist can program your routine in the app to improve brushing behaviors and focus on problem zones.

The company will release the revolutionary device in limited quantities this Spring in Germany but plans a global rollout for June. The app itself will be available for iOS users in May and for Android users in August.

What do you think: is the Bluetooth brush brilliant or just bizarre?
