One of the best parts about the Oscars every year is seeing all the stars rub elbows on Hollywood's biggest night. Among the most reliable icons of the red carpet is Emma Stone, who's been serving up flawless glam looks since her Oscar debut back in 2012. Nominated for the third time this year — this time for best supporting actress for her role in period dramedy The Favourite — Stone will be hitting the Oscars red carpet again this year on Feb. 24. While we wait to see her mingling with her A-list pals, take a look back at some of her best looks from Oscars past!
Stone arrived at the 84th Academy Awards as a first-time presenter. For her first-ever Oscars appearance, she chose a vivid red Giambattista Valli gown with a huge bow halter neck.
Alongside Ben Stiller, she presented the award for visual effects to the team from Hugo.
One quick dress change later, Stone was a guest at the biggest Oscar party in Hollywood. Hosted by Graydon Carter, the Vanity Fair party is the legendary glam afterparty.
Emma went full-on Old-Hollywood glam in 2015, with an Elie Saab gown covered in intricate, bright-green beads. This was her first year as a nominee, up for best supporting actress for her role in Birdman.
Backstage during the 2015 broadcast, Stone had a giddy moment with Julianne Moore, who won best actress that evening for Still Alice. In fact, there was more to this sweet celebration than just two nominees cheering each other on. The pair actually played mother and daughter in 2011's rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Alejandro González Iñárritu won best original screenplay, best director, and best motion picture for Birdman that year.
Following the ceremony, Emma again attended the Vanity Fair party. This time, she swapped out her sparkling, floor-length green gown for a red dress with some serious shimmer.
Nominated for best actress for her role in La La Land, Emma arrived in a gown that would have been right at place in that love letter to classic Hollywood musical glamour. The Givenchy gown was as glittering and golden as an Oscar statuette itself — fitting, given that the night would later see Emma take home her first Oscar!
She and her La La Land costar, Ryan Gosling, paired up for an onstage moment.
At the 89th Academy Awards, Emma went in as the favorite for best actress for playing Mia in the musical La La Land. Her triple-threat performance was enough to win her the big prize on only her second nomination ever.
She posed for the traditional group photo with fellow winners Mahershala Ali, Viola Davis, and Casey Affleck.
Not only did Emma have the dream come true of winning an Oscar, but she was presented with the award by many a millennial's first crush: Leonardo DiCaprio. The ceremony continued the longstanding tradition of having the previous year's winner for best actor present the best actress award; Leo had (finally!) won an Oscar in 2016 for The Revenant.
Fresh off her best actress win, Emma (and her statuette) made an appearance at the Vanity Fair party. The blue ribbon on her jacket was sported by several other celebs that night, showing support for the ACLU.
In a complete 180 from the previous year's sparkling floor-length gown, Emma went with bold colors and glam fitted trousers for her 2018 look. The silk Louis Vuitton suit made a bold statement, especially paired with her sleek hairdo.
A year after winning the best actress trophy, Emma returned to the broadcast to fulfill the traditional role of best actress winners: presenting at the next ceremony. Instead of introducing the best actor nominees and presenting to eventual winner Gary Oldman, she was tapped to present the best director award to Guillermo del Toro for The Shape of Water.
Stone has brought her brother, Spencer Stone, to the red carpet on a number of occasions.
She opted for a short color-block number at the Vanity Fair party that year.
