If there was ever an expression that applies perfectly to Prince William and Prince George, it's that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The father and son are so similar that, as well as both having the same childhood blond locks and boisterous disposition, George is also showing an interest in many of his father's passions (including one that mom Kate Middleton isn't one hundred percent happy about).
When William made his Buckingham Palace balcony debut at Trooping the Colour, he wore a pale blue outfit that had first been worn by his father, Prince Charles, for an official portrait in 1950. William was almost 2, was carried by his father in a dashing Irish Guards uniform, and was flanked by his great-grandmother, who was dressed for the occasion in pastels.

When he went to St. Mary's Hospital to meet his younger brother, Prince Harry, for the first time, William was dressed in a white shirt embroidered with red stitching, red shorts, and black t-bar shoes with white ankle socks.
For his younger sister, Princess Charlotte's, christening George wore an outfit that was clearly modeled on the one his father had worn 31 years earlier.
William's first overseas tour was with his parents to Australia and New Zealand when he was a few months short of his first birthday.

William grew up living in Kensington Palace with his parents and his younger sibling and went to school in London.
George's first home was Kensington Palace, and although he has lived for the last three years at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, the family are soon relocating to London and George will be starting his London school in the Fall. George even has a rocking horse like his father did — although Dad's wasn't a gift from the Obamas.
George, too, has grown up with a swing in the back garden. This one is thought to have been a wedding gift for William and Kate from her parents.
When he was growing up, William had a black Labrador called Widgeon.
From a young age, William learned to ride on his pony, Smokey.
It has been reported that George has started riding lessons.
Prince William has been a big fan of pulling on his motorcycle leathers and crash helmet and driving through the streets unnoticed. He also completed a charity bike ride through Africa in 2008.
In 2015, Kate said of William's Ducati motorcycle, "It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it. I'm terrified. Hopefully, I'm going to keep George off it." However, it seems that George has inherited his father's need for speed. He loves his scooter and has been spotted sitting on a police bike at Kensington Palace.
William was page boy on more than one occasion. The first time was at the age of 4 for his uncle Prince Andrew when he married Sarah Ferguson, and the second time was for two of his mother Diana's friends when he was 6.
George has so far been page boy just once — at his Auntie Pippa's wedding in May this year — but that will no doubt change when uncle Prince Harry gets married . . .
William was in the RAF for four years and worked as an Air Ambulance pilot for four years.
The little prince has shown every sign that he will follow in his father's footsteps when it comes to flying. Last year, he appeared on his first UK public engagement — attending the Royal International Air Tattoo, where he sat in a cockpit and asked Kate, "Mummy, can I fly a Red Arrow now?"
Although William has mellowed as he's grown older, when he was a young boy, he was given the nickname "Basher Wills" because of the way he would tear around the royal residences and stole focus at his brother Harry's christening when he wouldn't pose for family photos.
William has described his son as "a little monkey," and he, too, looked like a handful at his younger sister's christening.
