Each season, new jeans are always on our list of items to buy. As we look ahead to Spring, we're narrowing down the must-have styles for warmer days. Ahead, you'll find a guide to denim that is currently being offered by retailers (like deconstructed cuts in light washes). These all pair perfectly with your breezy, sheer blouses or crop tops. Springtime jeans should feel fun, either due to wash or embellishments, and they should work seamlessly into your wardrobe. If you want a sneak peek of what to scoop up before everyone else, check out the list ahead.
For Spring 2018, designers are drawing the eyes downward toward the hem. Jeans receive fun embellishments on the bottom, whether that's with seashells (like the Tory Burch pair above) or a frayed hemline that looks raw and jagged. Forget simply cuffing your jeans. You'll want to embrace fun designs like ruffles or even a fluted style for that retro take.
Looking for fun jeans to wear on vacation? Tory Burch's "Mia" jeans ($348) are it.
These Topshop jeans feature ($240) diamante fringe hem details.
If these Forever 21 jeans ($48) aren't the definition of party pants, then we don't know what is.
If you're looking to experiment with a fringe hem, test out Asos's affordable straight leg jean ($30, originally $58).
Carrie Bradshaw would definitely approve of these Prada feather-trimmed jeans ($1,510).
Check out the scalloped lace hem on this pair of Mother high-rise jeans ($228).
Show off your ankles (and shoes) with a pair of high-waisted, cropped flare jeans. This style looks great with a thick sweater for Winter and a breezy top in the Summer. If you're looking for that pair of jeans with a special something-something, flares just might do the trick.
The wash on this pair of Urban Renewal jeans ($40, originally $69) will match every top you own.
A pair of dark jeans like this Miu Miu pair ($895) will be flattering on all body types.
Wear your Hayden frayed culottes ($34, originally $68) with a pair of block-heeled pumps.
If you love the slouch style of your mom or boyfriend jeans, you'll take to the "baggy" fit too. These jeans don't exactly conform to the shape of your booty; rather, there's extra room in between. Expect your pant legs to be roomy, too. These jeans look exceptionally great with a pair of boots.
This pair of Burberry jeans ($350) reminds us of the type you spot on street style stars all the time.
If you prefer a darker wash for baggy jeans, try this Levi's version ($98).
Curvy ladies, slip into these Lucky Brand jeans ($84, originally $99), and never look back.
Fun and fresh is how we would describe this pair of roomy Zara jeans ($70).
Racetrack-inspired prints have made a comeback on the runway, and it was only a matter of time before jeans got that treatment. Look out for that bright stripe trailing down the side of your denim. This extra detail gives your jeans a sporty feel. Who needs track pants?
We're saying "yes" to immediately purchasing Rag & Bone's stripe outseam jeans ($295).
Topshop offers a flared version of the striped jeans ($90).
When the baggy jean meets stripes, you get this cool pair of Koché pants ($415).
If you're not a fan of red, might we suggest a blue stripe like the one on this Ava & Viv pair ($11, originally $35)?
Rock Missguided's blue side stripe jeans ($60) with a cropped hoodie.
In addition to the stripes, this pair of Mother jeans ($228) features an uneven hemline.
The best way to describe deconstructed jeans in 2018 is that the jeans look "off." The garment doesn't look completely finished (hemlines are left undone, buttons might be misplaced, etc . . .) and the denim has a raw feel to it. Brands like Vetements, Y/Project, and Off-White are notorious for the deconstructed look, which makes these instantly street style approved.
Did you notice the fun detail that makes these Rag & Bone jeans ($142, originally $295) different from other pairs?
We look forward to confusing everyone at the office with Unravel's "Inside Out Reverse" jeans ($625).
Are you seeing two pairs of jeans or one? This Vetements design ($1,249) will definitely play tricks on your eyes.
The '80s fashion influence is still strong in 2018. (And if you're unsure how to rock the style, we can help.) An easy way to try the pieces inspired by this decade is with a pair of no-fuss jeans. Look for a fit that's snug at the waist and baggy throughout, then possibly tapered at the ankle, too.
We're dropping everything to get our hands on these Maje "Parisso" tapered jeans ($265).
Call yourself an '80s free spirit? You'll love this pair of BDG jeans ($59).
