What happens when you combine cheesy jalapeño poppers with crescent dough? This three-ingredient appetizer that is sure to knock the socks off of anyone who tries it. Take a look at the incredibly easy steps, so you can re-create it for your next party.
You'll need jalapeño peppers, refrigerated crescent rolls, and artichoke-jalapeño dip. I found all of these ingedients at Trader Joe's for less than $8. This will make eight poppers (with extra dip leftover).
Cut off the stem and slice the peppers in half lengthwise.
That is, unless you want a superspicy app. The peppers will create little bowls for your dip.
Aim to fill each pepper with about 1 tablespoon of dip.
Divide the crescent dough into eight triangles, then place each pepper dip-side down on the widest side of the dough.
Remember geometry? Pull one side of the dough to form an equilateral triangle. It looks like a pizza slice.
You have to tuck the pepper in so the dip doesn't bubble out as the dough cooks.
Then roll the dough away from you until you create a little bundle.
TJ's crescent dough calls for 12-14 minutes of bake time at 350°F.
These popper rolls are insanely addictive. The dip becomes melty and gooey, the peppers cook until tender, and the buttery crescent roll will remind you of childhood. Remember to prepare enough for everyone to have two . . . because one of these is not enough.
