If you can't make your way to a bonfire this Summer, allow these new products to bring the s'mores to you. Some packaged products are available at the grocery store, while others (a dessert and a doughnut) you'll find at popular chain restaurants. It's an incredible time to be an American, celebrating the Summer trinity of marshmallows, graham crackers, and milk chocolate.
If there's one s'mores-flavored treat you try this year, let it be the Trader Joe's Campfire S'mores Bar. The silky, salted milk chocolate enrobes gooey, mini vegan marshmallows and crunchy graham cracker nuggets. You'll eat the whole bar in one sitting, so beware.
The waft of marshmallow scent flows out of the bag of Thomas S'mores Mini Bagels even when it's sealed. You'll love the flecks of chocolate and graham flavor, too. Since it's on the sweet side, all you really need is to toast it and smear a pat of salted butter over the top.
Thomas S'mores English Muffins are similar in flavor to the bagels, but they have slightly more texture due to the cornmeal on the bottom of the cakes. Plus, melted butter really pools into every crevice of the muffins.
You may need to take a seat before reading what's in Cracker Barrel's Campfire S'more Dessert. The chocolate fudge brownie has a graham cracker crust and is topped with a toasted marshmallow and melted Hershey's milk chocolate. A scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with Hershey's chocolate syrup completes the dish.
Dunkin Donuts S'mores Doughnut features a toasted-marshmallow-flavored filling, chocolate glaze, Hershey's chocolate, graham cracker crumbs, and crunchy mallow bits.
