The 3 Kylie Cosmetics Products Kylie Jenner Can't Use During Pregnancy

Sept. 22, 2017, will forever be known as the day the world set aside its differences to band together for a collective "Whaaaaa?" upon hearing news that Kylie Jenner is pregnant. After the initial shock subsided, so many questions emerged. Perhaps the most major one for beauty junkies was this inquiry: can the 20-year-old businesswoman use her own Kylie Cosmetics products if she's expecting her first child?
And the answer is, according to Billboard, sort of. Like most pregnant women, Kylie will have to switch up certain makeup products — including ones she created. Here's what Dr. Jacques Moritz, an ob-gyn at Weill Cornell in NYC, told the music site isn't kosher for Kylie to use (or inject!).

Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Eyeshadow Palette
Turns out, Kylie probably shouldn't bring the Bronze Eyeshadow Palette ($42), from her Vacation Collection, on her babymoon. Dr. Mortiz said the shadows "[contain] aluminum, which I'd avoid."

Ultra Glow Loose Powder Highlighter
The FDA has broken down different harmful ingredients into five categories, labeled A, B, C, D, and X. According to Dr. Moritz, along with containing aluminum, the sold-out Ultra Glow Loose Powder Highlighter ($14) "also includes aluminum chloride hexahydrate, which is a category C and should be avoided."
The FDA defines category C as having "positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans." So basically, ditch the highlighter and hope that your pregnancy glow holds up for the next nine months.

Kylie Lip Kits
Good news for expectant Lip Kit fans: Dr. Mortiz said these products are "generally safe." However, maybe go easy on them while you're prenatal. These lippies contain dyes, which "should be limited to as needed." So save the plumped look for big events, like your baby shower!

Lip Injections
Here's where things get tricky: for the past three years, Kylie has become synonymous with having plumped-up lips courtesy of the filler Juvederm. Since these injections are not permanent, patients are encouraged to get them twice a year.
However, according to Dr. Moritz, "Any injections in pregnancy can go bad due to the body's decreased immune system." If Kylie halts this process, it will be the first time since she was 17 years old that she rocks her natural lips. And there's nothing wrong with that — especially if it's for the sake of a future baby Jenner!
