The FDA has broken down different harmful ingredients into five categories, labeled A, B, C, D, and X. The FDA defines category C as having "positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans." So basically, ditch the highlighter and hope that your pregnancy glow holds up for the next nine months.

Good news for expectant Lip Kit fans: Dr. Mortiz said these products are "generally safe." However, maybe go easy on them while you're prenatal. These lippies contain dyes, which "should be limited to as needed." So save the plumped look for big events, like your baby shower!
