Lizzo's Nail Art at the Grammys Proves That Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

When it's the 62nd Grammy Awards and you're nominated eight times, you go big or you go home — and Lizzo's look tonight proves it. The "Truth Hurts" singer hit the red carpet tonight, and the spotlight immediately shifted her way. Why? She looked like a star dripping in diamonds, literally. Not only was her neck decorated with two loops of sparkling jewelry, but so was the bodice of her all-white Atelier Versace dress. But like we said, Lizzo went big and extended her frosty accessories down to her milky-white nail art.

It's no surprise Lizzo made the executive decision to try the monochromatic white look for the evening. In fact, white nail polish has been trending since Summer, and Lizzo is never afraid to take a bold approach with her beauty (see: her gold nugget nails). What makes this look special is that her manicure isn't just stunning, it's also iced out with decadent jewels literally dangling from the tips of her fingers. Talk about the look of a winner.

Turns out, that was the point. Inspired by her eight Grammy nominations, celebrity manicurist Eri Ishizu created a "glitter 8" design on each nail. She used a combo of two nail polish colors — Christian Louboutin Nail Color The Nudes in Madame Est Nue ($50) and Christian Louboutin Nail Color Metalinudes ($50) — and dangling crystals to create the look.
