Common Halloween costumes for the YouTube buff often fall on the, errr, advanced side of the beauty spectrum. But there's another wildly popular channel that does not require a degree in liquid eyeliner or status in Sephora's VIB club: Dr. Pimple Popper.

That's right. The only thing more gruesome than a slasher movie like Scream is dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, yielding a scalpel or extractor to her patients' pus-filled cysts or blackheads. If you delight in the mere thought — which, you weirdo (but, same) — then there's never been a better time to show your fandom than All Hallows' Eve.

"People dressed up as Dr. Pimple Popper last year, but this year it may be even bigger," Dr. Lee told POPSUGAR, referring to her growing fan base since landing her TV show on TLC. "We've offered the costume for years — you get the lab coat, splash guard, and huge syringe for dramatic effect. But if you can add your own accessories, that's where it gets fun."

How can you make yours rise above the rest? Dr. Lee has some ideas: "You could be a pimple that never pops. Dress in bubble wrap, suck the air out, tape the bottom, and inject some vodka cranberry inside [as the blood] to pour out as shots all night," she laughs. "Or, a patient of mine has a 4-year-old who is going to walk around with a chicken breast because it's a lipoma. How cute is that?"

Click ahead to get some costume ideas for yourself, but remember: If it's the scare factor you're after, all you'll need to do is whip out an excavation video.
