You don't see "easy" and "special-effects makeup" in the same sentence often, because, well, SFX makeup can be pretty complicated. However, there are some exceptions. A quick trip to your local Halloween store — or Amazon — can yield promising results for premade, silicone makeup prosthetics that simply require you to attach them and go.
Types of Makeup Prosthetics
Before you begin creating your SXF makeup look, there are a few supplies you'll need. Liquid latex makeup, otherwise known as body paint, is one of the most important products to have in your kit because of its versatility. It can simulate skin and be used as body paint, to attach prosthetic pieces, in mask making, and more. How to Remove SFX Makeup
Almost as important as the application of SFX makeup is the removal process. Before you commit to anything, you should know how to remove liquid latex and other makeup prosthetics. A trick to make removal easier is to apply lotion to the skin before application. This creates a barrier between your skin and the prosthetic.
Silicone and liquid latex can be peeled away quite easily by simply scraping them off. For prosthetics that are particularly stuck, you can use warm water and soap to loosen the adhesive and then scrape away the product. Many SFX makeup kits contain a product designed for removing the prosthetics, as well.
