You could call Lily Collins a beauty daredevil. The British-born actress loves to experiment with her hair and makeup for her red carpet appearances, whether that's dramatic eye makeup, bold, vampy lipstick shades, or some seriously major hair accessories. You name it, Collins's definitely tried it.
With the help of her makeup artists and hairstylists (her go-tos being Fiona Stiles and Gregory Russell), Collins keeps pushing the red carpet beauty boundaries. She's come a long way from the girl who didn't like her bold brows. In fact, not only does the Lancôme ambassador now embrace her full arches, she often plays them up with attention-grabbing shadow and lash looks. Ahead, join us as we celebrate some of her most iconic beauty looks from over the years.
Without large earrings or a necklace, Collins's Lelet NY gold barrette served as her statement jewelry for the LA premiere of Tolkien in May 2019, which hairstylist Gregory Russell used to secure her soft topknot. Equally as soft was her sky blue eye shadow, which makeup artist Fiona Stiles applied to have a watercolor-like effect across her lids.
For the 2019 Met Gala theme of "Camp: Notes on Fashion", Collins went big with a backcombed bouffant reminiscent of Priscilla Presley, which Russell then adorned with a smattering of flowers.
When it came to her '60s-inspired makeup, Stiles used the powder shadows from the Lancôme Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Lavender Grace to create a bold stretch of pastel purple shadow across her lids, and laid down multiple strips of false lashes on both her top and bottom lash lines.
Russell gave Collins a "sleek, shiny" chignon for a screening of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile at the Tribeca Film Festival in May 2019. Add on heavy black liner and a fierce red lip and Collins looked as if she just stepped out of a Devo music video from the '80s (in a really good way).
Lily rocked the pink eye shadow trend with romantic waves for the London premiere of Tolkien in April 2019.
Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge used all Lancôme products to create this look at the 2019 BAFTAS back in February 2019, including the brand's L'Absolu Rouge lipstick in Berry Noir.
Those fresh flowers scattered across the back of Lily's head are the handiwork of hairstylist Mara Roszak, who created this look for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in February 2019. The blooms were chosen strategically to pick up the exact colors in Collins's floral-printed dress.
Stiles gave Lily "electric teal and milk chocolate eyes, burnt rose lips, and petal pink cheeks" for the Art of Elysium's celebration in January 2019.
Meanwhile, Russell kept Collins's hair "sleek and shiny", twisting the front, face-framing pieces back, tying the ends into a ponytail, and gathering the ends into a glamorously oversize ballerina bun.
For the Governors Awards in November 2018, Russell provided "Victorian vibes" for Collins's hair with a double crown braid, and Stiles followed suit. Keeping with the color-scheme, she dusted black and charcoal-grey shadows all over Collins's lids and added "lashings of lashes."
To create Collins's disconnected liner at the 2018 InStyle Awards, Stiles used "moisturizer on a teeny tiny cotton bud to create razor sharp lines."
Her hair was equally as sleek and sharp, which Russell achieved by using Amika Fluxus Touchable Hairspray and Glass Action Universal Elixir.
Another '60s-inspired moment, this time with a splash of turquoise shadow and "tons of well manicured mascara" courtesy of Vincent Oquendo, who did Collins's makeup for the Miu Miu 2019 Cruise Collection in June 2018.
To complement her pastel makeup and paisley Miu Miu dress, Russell gave Collins a smooth blowout, adding a deep side part, curling the ends under, and slipping in a barrette to bring to mind a fabulous "'60s fantasy."
For the 2018 Met Gala's theme of "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination," Collins's makeup look was inspired by the dark arts. Stiles wanted to explore the gothic angle of the theme, using a bevy of Lancôme products and 3D crystals to represent celestial tears.
Collins's hair was just as intricate as her makeup at the 2018 Met Gala. Russell used Marc Anthony Hair Care products for her "sculptural braid," which sat neatly underneath her epic crown.
In one of the simplest styles we've seen from Collins, Russell kept her her hair long and loose under that printed turban at the Santos de Cartier Watch launch in April 2018.
Collins wore a dusty pastel eye shadow colour with a soft pink lip for the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris in July 2017.
Collins's soft curls by Russell brought to mind old Hollywood actors like Rita Hayworth and Grace Kelly at the To the Bone press conference in June 2017. A deep magenta lip colour put a fresh twist on the vintage look.
Long before everyone was doing it, Collins wore her hair all the way down to her waist for the Okja premiere in New York in June 2017. A dark cherry lip shade added yet another statement and played off her bright red dress nicely.
Collins took us back to the '80s with her bouncy ringlets and sparkly lids at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.
Collins broke out the fake fringe at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.
It was all about that pony at an Okja photocall at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.
Lily went monochromatic for the 2017 Met Gala with a short '20s-era blunt bob (styled by Russell), inky, spidery lashes, and onyx-colored lipstick in yet another gothic Met Gala look by Stiles.
Russell gave Collins "glossy structured hair" for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 2017.
At the Costume Design Awards in February 2017, Collins's slicked-back hair was the perfect way to show off her pretty plum blush and lip color, which was broken up by feathery lashes, a touch of highlighter, and of course, those enviable brows.
Russell used Sachajuan mousse, tinted volumising powder, and hairspray to create Collins's "soft and sexy hair" for the Artios Awards in January 2017.
It should be clear by now that Collins loves a red lip. At the Golden Globes party in 2017, she tried out a matte brick-red version, complementing it with matching rosy shadow and a bun of epic proportions that included curls, three-strand plaits, and a fishtail braid.
Electric blue wings and bright red lipstick clashed in the prettiest of ways at the Haiti Rising Gala in January 2017.
It should also be clear that Collins has a bit of a dark side, which she definitely showed us at the Critics' Choice Awards in 2016 with her metallic burgundy lids and lips.
Inspired by her Elie Saab gown, Russell wanted to create a "romantic, prairie goth, '70s-inspired look with a modern texture."
Collins looked very different at the StyleMakers Awards in November 2016 with her hair whittled into a shaggy, mid-length cut.
Collins took her favorite lipstick shade and experimented with it as a bold hair color for the Sony Pictures soiree in June 2016.
For the 2016 Met Gala's theme, "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" in May 2016, a straight, vertical white line ran from her forehead down to her navel.

Yet another dark and brooding beauty look for the Britannia Awards in October 2015.
Collins really reminded us of Audrey Hepburn at 2015's Met Gala, which was themed "China: Through the Looking Glass."

Collins worked the wet look at a pre-Oscars dinner in February 2015 with some of her favourite beauty tropes: sleek hair and a rich red lip.
Crafted by Roszak, Collins's hair was big and bold and secured with a simple black band at the Teen Choice Awards in August 2013. We don't want to assume, but by the looks of it, Collins loves the beauty and fashion of the 1960s.
With blue streaks in her hair and a graphic liner/brow combination that recalled English rocker Siouxsie Sioux, there was no question that Collins nailed the theme of the 2013 Met Gala, "Punk: Chaos to Couture."
When hair imitates art: Roszak was inspired by a book cover (as in, she saw a similar style on the cover of a novel) when creating this low hair loop for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in February 2013.
Another punky look from Collins at the British Fashion Awards in November 2012.
Channeling Audrey Hepburn yet again at the Abduction LA premiere in September 2011. If you learn one lesson from Collins after looking back at her best beauty moments, it's this: get yourself a black headband, stat.
