Tokyo, Japan, is a treasure trove of beauty inspiration, especially when it comes to hair. Just walking through its streets and seeing the eye-catching haircuts and colors will make you want to call up your hairstylist to completely switch up your style.
Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons, who became an ambassador for NatureLab Tokyo after a trip to Japan sparked his interest in the J-Beauty movement, weighs in on what will be this Fall's biggest hair trends from the city. Read on for his thoughts and prepare to be inspired.
"Long bobs with [peek-a-boo] bangs are really in [in Tokyo] right now," said Fitzsimons. "The wispiness of the bangs create an effortless look that also contours the face. Women in Japan have been all over it."
Fitzsimons said that long waves with ashy tones will also be big this Fall. He recommends the NatureLab Tokyo Perfect Volume Texture Mist ($12) to create the wavy, lived-in texture that has been popular in Japan.
"Another look that has been very popular is short round bobs with wavy bangs," he said. "This look is popular in Japan because it is a perfect combination of soft waves with a sharp edge."
