Get to Know Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's 3 Kids

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's divorce was finalized in October 2022, but the former couple are maintaining a united front for the sake of their kids. On Oct. 28, 2022, the pair confirmed their split in separate statements shared on their Instagram Stories. Brady wrote, "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve."

Bündchen and Brady tied the knot in 2009, and during their relationship, they welcomed two kids together, Benjamin and Vivian, who joined Brady's first child, Jack, from a previous relationship. In the supermodel's statement, she wrote, "With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care, and attention they greatly deserve."

Back in September 2022, Bündchen told Elle that she took a step back from her career to focus on the kids. "I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting [Brady] and his dreams," she said. "Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career — it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I've done a good job on that."

Meanwhile, Brady got candid about fatherhood during an episode of his ESPN docuseries "Man in the Arena" in April 2022, in which he grew emotional about trying to follow in his dad's shoes as a parent. "I'm a dad to some amazing children. When I think about being a dad, I think of him because of what my dad meant to me," he said tearfully, per People. "I know I'm not as good a dad to my kids that my dad's been to me. I use them as my example of how to keep a family together and to care, to support, and how to love."

Brady also talked about his unique challenges as a wealthy parent on Spotify's "Drive With Jim Farley" podcast in July 2022, which he received backlash for on social media. But in the same interview, he defended his comments and noted that, because of his wealth, he wants his kids to understand they experience a different childhood from most other kids.

After announcing his retirement in 2022, and subsequently returning to the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers player played in his 23rd football season last fall. However, reports about marital difficulties for Bündchen and Brady had been circulating since August 2022, when Brady took an 11-day absence from the Buccaneers "to deal with some personal things," according to head coach Todd Bowles.

In February 2023, Brady announced that he's officially retiring for good, and Bündchen shared her support for his next moves in a comment. "Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life," she wrote. Since his retirement announcement, Brady appears to be in good spirits. On Feb. 8, he shared a snap of Jack posing alongside former New England Patriots teammate Julian Edelman, writing, "Sorry @edelman11 you stopped growing and now this 15 year old is towering over you ❤️❤️."

Ahead of Father's Day on May 31, Brady shared a special video with his dad, Tom Brady Sr., on Instagram, in which they talked about what fatherhood means to them. "Nothing is more important to me than being a father. [My three kids] are my biggest inspirations," Brady said in the clip. "I try to go out there every day and make them proud."

Then, in an Aug. 8 Instagram post following his 45th birthday, Brady expressed gratitude toward those in his life who he's "shared the most life changing events with," including his children, who he said have "added so much to this incredible/adventurous life." He also posted a photo series of family pics from their "incredible trip" to Africa.

John Edward Thomas Moynahan

John, better known as Jack, was born on Aug. 22, 2007, just about a year after Brady and Jack's mother, actor Bridget Moynahan, split up in 2006. Just like his dad, Jack loves football and being active, and Brady has referred to him as "Dad's favorite workout partner."

Jack has continued to pursue athletic pursuits over the years, taking after his dad in that respect. Brady previously shared on an episode of the SiriusXM podcast "Let's Go" that his eldest son has started playing high-school football. "I never imagined him playing football," he said. "So getting out there and watching him play has been so much fun for me."

While Jack mostly plays free safety, sometimes he plays quarterback — which makes his dad happy. "I love watching him play quarterback, because I think there's very few things in life that I could probably help him with," the football icon said. "I don't have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing the football. He's way smarter. He's got a great work ethic. He's just a great kid. But I can definitely help him at quarterback."

Brady also said that watching Jack play football is "one of the great highlights of my life," and he added that winning isn't very important to him. "I don't give a sh*t how well he does," he said. "I just love watching him and seeing him enjoy it with his friends." Seeing his son with his high-school teammates brings back some fond memories for the star. "I remember being in high school myself. I loved being out there with my teammates," Brady said. "It's really a treat, as all parents know, watching their kids play."

In February 2023, Brady shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of Jack being taller than retired wide receiver Julian Edelman. "Sorry @edelman11 you stopped growing and now this 15 year old is towering over you ❤️❤️," Brady captioned it. Then, on Aug. 22, Brady celebrated his son's 16th birthday with a heartfelt post — and poked fun at his son's efforts to learn to drive. "16 years of joy with the the ( sweetest, kindest, most loving etc etc 🥰❤️) son, brother, friend and teammate any parent could ever hope for," he wrote. "You have changed our lives since the day you were born and everyday since has been such a blessing for everyone who knows you and is lucky to have you in their life. Now it's time for the next step . . . the learners permit . . . I'm gonna make sure I'm off the road."

Brady and Jack also seem to love to play sports together, though it seems like things can get quite competitive. On Sept. 12, Brady shared several videos and photos of himself and Jack playing basketball. "I'm gonna need a few more sessions to be able to keep up with this kid soon 😂🏀," he wrote in the caption.

Benjamin Rein Brady

Brady and Bündchen's first child together, Benjamin, was born on Dec. 8, 2009, and was given a middle name that honors Bündchen's father's middle name, Reinoldo (after Brady vetoed the first name River!). Unlike his older brother, Benny isn't into sports, which Brady had to work to accept as a famous athlete himself. "It was hard for me . . ., " Brady told Men's Health of accepting Ben's interests. "The reality is that Benny just likes different things. And it's great because now I just have to go do what he wants to do. When we do that, we have the best time. He's like, 'OMG, Dad, you're so funny.' He loves joking, and I joke back."

On Benny's 12th birthday, Brady shared a sweet message for his boy, writing: "Happy Birthday Benny! You are A M A Z I N G in every way. You have taught me so much and I am so blessed to be your dad! ❤️❤️❤️"

Vivian Lake Brady

Bündchen and Brady's youngest child and only daughter, Vivian, was born nearly three years to the day after Benny, on Dec. 5, 2012. It appears as though Bündchen is partial to water-based names, as Vivian's middle name, like Benny's, is inspired by water.
