Blac Chyna, Angelina Jolie, and More Celebrities Share Photos of Their Kids' First Days of School

August and September mark the start of school for many kids across the country, and a number of celebrities have commemorated their children's new school year with affectionate posts. "One of us is starting his first day at school. And the other is doing everything in his power not to cry," John Stamos wrote next to a photo of his 4-year-old son, Billy, who's starting kindergarten this year.

For some parents, sending their kids off doesn't seem to get any less emotional, even a decade later. In an Aug. 28 interview on "The Late Late Show With James Corden," Heidi Klum confessed that she calls her 18-year-old daughter, Leni, who just started college in New York City, "every two hours." Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson's Instagram post about her two kids, Maxwell and Ace, was full of pride, with the star writing that she loves to see her kids "[g]rowin' up and ownin' it." From Guy Fieri to Tarek El Moussa, these celebrity parents were brimming over with love and pride as they sent their kids off for another year of education. Stars including Angelina Jolie, Nick Cannon, and Gabrielle Union have also shared celebratory and emotional posts on their kids' first days back in the classroom.

Stamos shared an Instagram post with his 4-year-old son, Billy, on Aug. 31, writing, "One of us is starting his first day at school. And the other is doing everything in his power not to cry."

Blac Chyna

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian's 5-year-old daughter, Dream, wore a plaid skirt and matching headband for her first day of kindergarten. "Proud mom moment," the model wrote.

Gabrielle Union

Union shared a sweet back-to-school video with her 3-year-old daughter, Kaavia, who she shares with Dwyane Wade. The pair showed off their new hairdos, followed by a clip of Kaavia on a scooter set to Beyoncé's "Alien Superstar."

Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields shared a tearful video after dropping her 19-year-old daughter, Rowan Henchy, off at college on Aug. 18. "Turns out second time is NOT the charm when it comes to your baby going off to college," she said. "Sophomore year, here she comes. I'll be crying if you need me . . . "

Jessica Simpson

Simpson posted a sweet picture of her kids, 10-year-old Max and 9-year-old Ace, on Aug. 31. "These two had an amazing first day of school! I'm so proud! Heart is full. Growin' up and ownin' it. Happy kiddos," she wrote.

Tarek El Moussa

El Moussa shared a photo with his wife, Heather, who is pregnant with their first child together, and his son, 7-year-old Brayden, who he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall. "Like many of you out there, today we dropped the little man off to first grade!" he wrote. "Life is a wild ride and it's crazy how time flies! I feel like yesterday my little guy was in diapers throwing food off his tray:) well . . . he's out of the diapers but still throwing food lol. I'm having so much fun watching him change and grow. In the last two weeks he drove go carts, went body boarding, and had his first football practice!! This is just the best age and we are having so much fun! Guy Fieri

On Aug. 11, Fieri shared a photo of his son, 16-year-old Ryder, looking unimpressed. "Does this look like the face of an 11th grader who is thrilled for his first day of school? 😂" he wrote. "Good luck champ!"

Angelina Jolie

Jolie confirmed daughter Zahara's decision to attend Spelman College in July with an affectionate post. "Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl," she wrote. On Aug. 11, while moving her daughter in, she appeared in a video shared by Spelman's vice president, saying she's "holding it together."

Katherine Heigl

On Aug. 25, Katherine Heigl shared a photo of her daughters, 13-year-old Naleigh Mi-Eun and 10-year-old Adalaide, as they prepared to head off to school. "Well it's that time of year again," she wrote. "Back to school for these two and off to kindergarten for my last and final baby. I feel funny. Like maybe I might start crying. Or maybe I'll just run around the house for the next seven hours intermittently yelling FREEDOM!!! We'll see. 😏❤️"

Nick Cannon

Cannon celebrated his son Golden, who he shares with Brittany Bell, on his first day of second grade. "Yesterday was the first day of 2ND GRADE for MR. GOLDEN CANNON!! (And he's only 5 years old!!!)" he wrote on Aug. 30. "Congratulations Champ!! I can't take none of the credit though! He gets his genius from his Mamma!"
