Lauren London's Dating History Over the Years

"You People" is the latest comedy to take over Netflix. The movie — which features the star-studded cast of Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus — is about a young couple named Amira and Ezra (played by London and Hill, respectively) who want to get married but are hoping to get their parents' approval first. Since they come from two very different backgrounds, that's easier said than done.

If you've already watched the film, you probably recognize London from movies like "ATL," "I Love You, Beth Cooper," "This Christmas," and, more recently, "Without Remorse." Her TV credits also include shows like "The Game," "Games People Play," and "True Story."

Outside of her acting career, London prefers to keep her personal life private, though she has been in a few public relationships over the years. Since entering the spotlight in the early 2000s, she's dated some famous musicians, with her most recent relationship being with the late Nipsey Hussle.

London and Lil Wayne were in an on-and-off relationship from 1998 to 2009, which was the same year the pair welcomed their son, Kameron Carter. He is London's first child and Wayne's third.

In a May 2011 interview with Kathleen Cross, London said "the biggest misconception" people had about her at the time was that her son was the result of a "one night stand" or "groupie encounter," because she and Wayne knew each other for years before welcoming a child together. "I met Dwayne when I was 15 years old. I've known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn't make it," she said. "We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways."

London went on to praise Wayne by calling him "an intelligent, loving, and lovable person" who she will "always" consider a "dear friend." When asked about her relationship with the mothers of the rapper's other children, London said there's nothing but love between them. "We are all good-hearted women who love our children and we want them to know each other," she said. "Real friendships have grown from that foundation and the result has been more love, less drama, and less trauma for our kids."

After her breakup with Wayne, London was rumored to have dated Trey Songz. It all started in 2012 when the stars were photographed at an event together. That August, London was asked about the rumors while making an appearance on "The Q Side," though she denied they were anything more than just friends. "We are not together. We just took a picture together," she said. "I know him and he's a great guy, so I laugh at that."

Songz had a very different response to the dating rumors. While talking with 106 KMEL in October 2012, Songz said he and London dated but weren't together anymore. "Lauren London is a very important person to me. I love her to death," he told the radio station. "Is she my woman? No. We are great friends and we have been lovers before."

In September 2013, London and Songz reunited at the premiere of their film "Baggage Claim," where they were supposedly caught flirting. They were doing separate interviews but then broke into conversation after spotting each other at the event. Later that night, the two took a picture together during the film's afterparty.

London dated Nipsey Hussle from 2013 to his death in March 2019. The rapper died at the age of 33 after being shot outside of his Marathon Clothing store. That December, GQ honored Hussle's life and legacy by interviewing his loved ones. London told the publication that she met Hussle through a mutual friend. "Because we're both from L.A., we had a lot of friends in common," she began. "I had a couple of homegirls that had hung out with him and would come back to me like, 'Oh, my God! You would really like Nip! He seems like your type!'"

The two eventually got in touch because of Hussle's music. "We met because I wanted to pick up a box of clothes he offered me after I bought a couple [copies of] 'Crenshaw,'" London said, referencing Hussle's 2013 mixtape. "I pulled up to his shop on Crenshaw and Slauson, and he was like, 'You want to hang out?'"

Three years into their relationship in August 2016, the couple welcomed a son together named Kross Asghedom. Following Hussle's death in 2019, London paid tribute to her late partner on Instagram. "I am completely lost. I've lost my best friend. My sanctuary. My protector. My soul. I'm lost without you. We are lost without you babe. I have no words," she wrote. That April, London also honored Hussle by getting a tattoo of him on her arm. "Real Love Never Dies," she captioned a photo of her ink. "When you see me, you will always see him."

At the moment, London appears to be single.
